Wii Play...
Do you have it yet? Is it out? Can you really play online users? Can you really only buy it with a Wii Remote? Is the new Wii Remote any different (I thought I saw some silver instead of white)? Does the game come with a real case or just a cardboard sleve? Lotsa gossip but not many facts, inquiring minds wanna know...
Any thoughts?

Question...
On the WiiPlay game where you try to match up the Mii's that are alike, around level 5, it switches to say "Find two odd mii's out"? What does that mean? I don't know what they are lookin' for and each wrong guess subtracts 5 seconds from your time...

Wow! I've only gotten to 52, but considering that up until a few days ago, I had a hard time getting double digits, I think I'm doing pretty good :-)

It came out ages ago... I had it before Christmas. It's all about improving your use of the WiiMote, so there are games about accuracy (shooting), diferent movements eg tilting, twisting, and even using the WiiMote on its side...

Where are you playing from Jack? That's interesting that you had it so long ago, I can assure you that in Midwestern America it just came out Monday. GameStop has been taking pre-orders since New Years...

It's like a whole bunch of minigames. i've heard there's a ping-pong game in it, some kinda thing where you save your miis from aliens.... ask TwinCitiesDan. He has the the game, so he should know all about it

I just got it so I'm going to answer a few of my own questions just for the info...
1) Wii Play is out, it came out yesterday 2/12/07
2) This has been discussed already but No, there is no online play
3) It includes a Wii Remote that is the same as the other ones (It appears silverish on the box it is a white one)
4) It comes with a real case (I know, who cares right?) I know I'm picky, I just really wish the Wii Sports game would have came with a real case, it would look better on my game shelves. :-) I think Nintendo could have tossed in the 99 cent case.
Anyways, It is pretty fun and very addictive...
It's a little different then Sports because it doesn't track you skill level (no pro status) but in 1 player mode it does keep track of your 5 best scores for each game. It awards the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for certain achievments but these appear as messages on your Wii Message board, it doesn't really keep track of them in the game itslelf.

Thats weird that you didnt get a real case. I did with my wii sports. By the way, is wii play the price of a regular wii game but with a wiimote included?

Really? You got a real case in the box that the Wii came in!?! I got ripped off! J/K. My WiiSports came with a junky cardboard sleeve. But I really wish I had the real case. Perhaps you could email me (or post?) a scan of your case insert card? Then I could make my own case!
oh yea...
Yes, WiiPlay costs the same as the other games ($50) + it comes with an extra WiiRemote (which around these parts, are still extremely hard to find and run about $40)

It costs $50, but considering you get another remote which retail for $40, it's a steal...

Hahah sorry dan i dont mean to laugh but in canada were i live which is saskatoon the wii play bundle cost me 66 dollers but i could not find one any were except the most pricyest guys around block buster lol, they had one left

I was looking it up and i have found that Pokemon battle revolution, supersmashbros:brawl and mario strickers charge, and Battalion Wars 2 are going to be online. Online games will not be available until june (acording to nintendo).

T.C., When you said "Can you really only buy it with a Wii Remote", what Nintendo Power said came to my mind. They said with wii play the focus on playing multiplayer is so great, that it comes BUNDLED with a wiimote. Hope that explains things.

wii play will not allow you to play online against others, nintendo has said that later this year they will probably get online gaming going. im sure they are researching it now. could you imagine if there was an online gaming channel, that would be sweet.

I saw a gameplay trailer for the godfather blackhand edition thats due out for wii and it looked awsome!
